Orlando City has acquired a controlling interest in the Central Florida Kraze.
The USL Premier Development League team has been in existence since 1999 and won the PDL national title in 2004.
It will be known as the Orlando City Under 23s now and will continue to be coached by Joe Avallone.
“The new team, Orlando City Under 23s, will give us a tremendous platform to assess and develop young talent for our pro team. We also could not be working with better people, with a better track record at the Under 23 level, than Joe Avallone, and the Kraze organization. We are excited about the 2012 season,” said Orlando City Owner/President Phil Rawlins.
